Beheard Care

Psychological Therapies

Individual, group and family therapy, delivered by highly specialised psychological therapists - with a particular commitment to people excluded from mainstream services.

Accessible evidence-based therapies for marginalised communities

A key mission for Beheard Care is to provide evidence-based therapies, delivered by highly specialised psychological therapists, for people who are excluded from mainstream services - particularly those who have been homeless or have grown up away from their families.

We offer therapies in a range of settings:

  • Remote sessions using online platforms such as Zoom
  • In comfortable and relaxed consulting rooms in Harley Street, Notting Hill or clinic locations across London (roomsfortherapists.co.uk)
  • Home visits, dependent on location and therapist availability
  • In-reach at your venue - discounts available for regular half-day or longer bookings at a customer-provided space such as a counselling room in a day centre or community venue

Family therapy

Family therapy can be helpful when relationships have been impacted by life events, or when things have simply become very difficult and stuck. It is a chance to talk together about what matters, identify common ground and helpful goals, and be in a safe space where everyone can be heard and find a way to reconnect.

We also offer support to separating families so that the important things, like how to support children during and after separation, can be discussed and agreed in a safe and supportive environment.

Family therapy is a crucial part of supporting families to remain or resume living together when children have spent time in care and are now returning, and in helping prevent children from entering care by supporting family relationships and mobilising natural resources.

Group therapy

Time-limited and open therapeutic groups for people navigating shared experiences: trauma recovery, relationship repair, and building coping and connection.

Groups are carefully facilitated, with clear boundaries and a shared purpose, so that members can benefit from being understood by others who have walked a similar path.

Client voices

In their own words.

Reflections shared by people who have worked with our clinical team. Published anonymously with consent.

One of the things I value most about working with Gabi is that she helps me make sense of things. She's easy to talk to, never judgemental and has a way of asking questions that help me see things differently. I always leave sessions feeling clearer and with a better understanding of myself.
Individual therapy client
Someone who established a safe space from the first session, where I felt heard and comfortable enough to talk, but also to listen to my own words being given back to me to reflect upon and hear again with another understanding when presented back to me. A place to acknowledge my joy as well as my wounds, and permission for my silence when I struggle.
Long-term therapy client
After the breakdown of my marriage, I needed someone to speak to who was able to listen, to ask sometimes probing questions and who was able to help me process the breakdown. Gabi was that person for me, she helped me overcome past trauma, understand the impact of my upbringing and digest past disappointments. At the same time, she has kept me focused on the present, the possibilities I have now and made me focus on my current choices. She also supported me in building a better relationship with my son while also pointing out the positive changes that have occurred. I am grateful for her support and knowledge.
